Best fit signalYou want a real conversation, not a recording sessionYou want the cheapest top-of-funnel filter and depth does not matter at this stage

Which one fits

Pick the tool that matches the signal you need.

Pick Hireflix if…

  • Cost-per-screen is your single biggest constraint and you accept fixed questions.
  • You want candidates to record on their own time without scheduling a live call.
  • Depth on any single answer does not matter at this stage — you are just filtering volume.

Pick Vettika if…

  • You want a real conversation that adapts to what the candidate actually said.
  • You want the AI to push back on a weak answer instead of moving to the next pre-set question.
  • You want pricing on the page, a free trial, and a working interview today.

Why we frame this as a format difference, not a fight

Recording session vs real conversation.

Hireflix solves the problem of moving top-of-funnel video screening off your calendar and onto the candidate's clock. That is a real problem at high volume. We solve a different one — getting a real conversation, with follow-ups, when fixed-question video does not give you enough signal to make a shortlist decision.

Different format

Hireflix records video answers to fixed questions. Vettika has a live voice conversation.

Different signal

Hireflix gives you a video answer per question. Vettika gives you an adaptive conversation with rubric scoring.

Different timing

Hireflix is async — candidate records on their time. Vettika is real-time — candidate joins a live voice call.

What we do not do

Honest limits.

  • No async video recording flow. Every candidate joins a live voice call.
  • No per-question retake controls. The conversation is real-time, not retake-able.
  • No published per-position pricing tier that scales to thousands of screens a month — talk to us if that is your volume.
  • No video-only output. The artefact is a transcript + rubric report, not a video file.

If async one-way video is what your workflow actually needs, Hireflix (or a similar async video tool) is the right product. We would rather you pick the right one.

FAQ

Questions buyers actually ask.

What is the difference between Hireflix and Vettika?

Format. Hireflix is async one-way video — the candidate records answers to a fixed question set on their own time, with no listener and no follow-up. Vettika is real-time voice — a live AI joins the candidate for a 12-minute conversation, listens, and asks adaptive follow-ups based on what they said. If you want a low-cost filter and accept that the depth is shallow, Hireflix works. If you want a screen that catches half-answers and probes weak claims, Vettika does that.

Is async video cheaper than a real-time AI interview?

Per screen, async video is usually cheaper to operate because there is no live compute. Vettika publishes pre-paid packs from $39 for 10 ($3.90 each) or $149 for 50 ($2.98 each), and Pro at $99/month for 35 interviews ($3.00 per extra) — read the pricing page and decide whether the difference is worth a real conversation. No-shows never count against pack credits or monthly caps. We think the depth is worth it for first-round screens; for top-of-funnel filtering at huge volume it might not be.

Can the AI follow up on a candidate answer?

Yes — that is the core difference. Our voice agent listens to each answer and chooses the next question based on what was said. If a claim is vague we push for specifics; if the signal is strong we move on. Hireflix asks every candidate the same questions in the same order because nobody is on the call to react.

Can I use both?

Yes. A common pattern: Hireflix or another async tool for huge top-of-funnel filtering, then Vettika for the 12-minute voice first-round on whoever survives the filter. Different stages, no overlap.

What about candidate experience?

Different design choices. Hireflix gives candidates control — they record when they want, can retake within limits, and the UX is polished async video. Vettika is a live voice call with a 12-minute cap; the candidate keeps the transcript and sees their own score. We do not proctor and we do not cheat-detect. Try the 90-second live demo on the homepage as a candidate before deciding.

Does Vettika handle async too?

No — we are real-time voice only. If your workflow requires candidates to record on their own time, Hireflix (or a similar async tool) is the right product. If you want a real conversation, ours is.
