1. Your right to a non-AI alternative
You can request a non-AI alternative for the first-round screening at any point before the call starts, and we will route you to a human recruiter without penalty to your application. This right is required under:
- NYC Local Law 144 (Automated Employment Decision Tool disclosures);
- the EU AI Act, Article 14 (human oversight + opt-out for high-risk AI systems);
- most national disability-accommodation statutes (ADA in the United States, Equality Act 2010 in the United Kingdom, comparable laws elsewhere).
2. How to request one
Two paths — both reach the recruiter directly:
- From the apply page — on the page where you submit your contact details, click the “Request a non-AI alternative” link in the AEDT notice card. You will be asked one optional question (preferred mode: phone callback / video call with a human / written questionnaire) and the recruiter will reach you within 2 business days.
- By email — write to compliance@vettika.com. Include the apply link or job title so we can route you to the right recruiter.
You do not need to give a medical, disability, or any other reason to exercise this right.
3. What happens next
The recruiting team will:
- Confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days of the apply window opening;
- Offer you the same rubric coverage in the alternative format you chose;
- Make sure your candidacy is scored against the same criteria the AEDT would have applied — no penalty for taking the non-AI route.
4. Accessibility accommodations during the AI call
If you would prefer to keep using the AI screening but need an accommodation — extended time per question, a different language, sign-language interpretation, written-only (text-chat) mode — contact the recruiter via the same channels above and we will configure the interview accordingly.
5. Still stuck?
The Support page lists every other route to reach a human, including the data-deletion + data-export forms.
